FLAMETAL: West Coast Dates Announced

August 10, 2006

Hotly tipped San Francisco-based flamenco/metal hybrid band FLAMETAL, which features in its ranks current WHITESNAKE bassist Uriah Duffy, has lined up the following dates during August:

Aug. 26 - Bar Sinister c/o Boardner's - Hollywood, CA
Aug. 27 - Fountain Theater – Los Angeles, CA

According to a press release, "FLAMETAL are pioneering a new genre, the first of its kind, the unholy union of harmony and rhythm. The music is based off flamenco rhythms and tonalities, super-heated with blinding shred metal from a band of professional and virtuosic, musical madmen! FLAMETAL is breaking away from the usual. Instead, FLAMETAL's performances are unlike any other, with flamenco guitar and the FLAMETAL dancers at the forefront. Truly evil and seductive, and yet accomplished flamenco dancers and percussionists, they slither and pound rhythms with their dramatic and mesmerizing choreographies, delivering an amazing spectacle of metal, dance, art and horror, sure to leave you breathless. You will see and hear ferocious musicianship, swirling flamenco dance, palmas and footwork, as well as fleet-fingered dual guitar-shredding delivering spine-crushing, metal brutality!"
